Installation Guide

Get Bulk Product Editor Pro installed and editing products in under 2 minutes.

Before you begin

  • You must be a store owner or have Store Admin access to install apps.
  • No developer or technical knowledge is required.
  • No credit card is required for the Free plan.
  • Bulk Product Editor Pro is compatible with all BigCommerce plans.
1

Navigate to the BigCommerce App Marketplace

Log in to your BigCommerce store control panel. In the left sidebar, click on Apps to expand the Apps menu, then click App Marketplace. This opens the BigCommerce marketplace where you can browse and install apps.

Direct URL: You can also navigate directly to https://store-{yourstoreId}.mybigcommerce.com/manage/marketplace — just replace {yourstoreId} with your store's hash.
2

Search for "Bulk Product Editor Pro"

In the App Marketplace search bar at the top of the page, type Bulk Product Editor Pro. The app will appear in the search results. You can also browse the Inventory Management or Product Management categories to find it.

Click on the Bulk Product Editor Pro listing to open the app detail page. Here you can read the full description, see screenshots of the editor, and review the permissions the app requests before installing.

3

Click "Install" and accept permissions

Click the Install button on the Bulk Product Editor Pro detail page. BigCommerce will display a permissions dialog listing exactly what the app is requesting access to. Bulk Product Editor Pro requests the following permissions:

  • Products — Read & Write: Required to read your catalog and save bulk edits back to BigCommerce.
  • Store Content — Read: Required to read categories and brands for the filter system.
  • Channels & Storefronts — Read: Required to display the storefront switcher for multi-storefront stores.

After reviewing the permissions, click Confirm to complete the installation. BigCommerce will redirect back to your control panel and open the app.

4

Wait for the initial product sync

On first launch, Bulk Product Editor Pro will start syncing your product catalog from BigCommerce. A progress indicator shows how many products have been imported so far. For most stores, the initial sync completes within 1–3 minutes.

You don't need to wait for the sync to finish before you start exploring. Products will appear in the grid as they are imported. If you have a very large catalog (10,000+ products), the sync may take 5–10 minutes, but the app remains fully usable throughout.

Note: The sync runs completely in the background on our servers. Closing the app or your browser will not interrupt or cancel the sync — it will continue and complete even if you navigate away.

Start editing!

You're ready to go. Click any cell in the product grid to start editing. Use the tab bar at the top to switch between different field groups (Pricing, Inventory, SEO, etc.). Select multiple rows and use Bulk Edit to update hundreds of products at once.

When you're done making changes, click the Save Changes button in the toolbar. Bulk Product Editor Pro will push all your edits to BigCommerce simultaneously. Most saves complete within a few seconds, even for large batches.

Pro Tip: Check out the User Guide for an in-depth walkthrough of every feature, including bulk operations, variant editing, SEO tools, and the undo/rollback system.

Troubleshooting

The app shows a blank screen after installation.
This is usually caused by a browser extension blocking third-party iframes. Disable any ad blockers or privacy extensions for your BigCommerce dashboard domain, then reload the page. If the issue persists, try in an incognito/private window.
The product sync appears stuck and hasn't updated for more than 10 minutes.
Try clicking the Sync Now button in Settings to restart the sync. If it doesn't recover within 5 minutes, contact support at support@novastack.co with your store hash and we'll investigate immediately.
I see fewer products than expected in the editor.
First, check if any filters are active in the filter bar — clear all filters to see your full catalog. If you are on the Free plan, only 50 products will be visible. Check your plan limit in Settings. If you have more products than your plan allows, upgrade your plan to see them all.
Saves are failing with an error message.
This can occur if your BigCommerce access token has expired (rare, but can happen after a long idle period). Try logging out of your BigCommerce account, logging back in, and reopening the app. If the error persists, reinstalling the app from the Marketplace will refresh the token without losing any data.
